The village of Pertisau at Lake Achensee

In Pertisau you will find sports, wellness and relaxation in a sunny Alpine climate. In this traditional village you will experience a unique quality of life amidst Europe´s largest nature reserve - the Karwendel mountains.

At a size of 719ha, Achensee is Tirol´s largest lake. Its crystal-clear water has drinking quality. Already centuries ago Pertisau was a popular hunting and fishing resort for the Austrian aristocracy. Aside from sports and recreational facilities; Pertisau offers its guests a unique nature experience.

Summer holidays in fresh alpine climate

The travel destination lake Achensee is a competence center for Runners. You will find a net of 26 running trails all degrees of difficulties. For those who want to learn how to run in proper style we offer running courses.

Nordic Walking, a sport for young and old is also part of our recreation programme.

Mountainbikers will find easy trails along the lake as well as ambitous downhill trails. Take part at a technique tour and discover nature with one of our Trainers.

If you like riding bicycles you can also try the Via Bavarica Tyrolensis, which leads from Munich to the Achensee.

Every thursday there is also our well known Hiking trip to the top of the mountains.

Golfers will find two well prepared courses at Pertisau (18 hole) and Achenkirch (9 hole).

The Golf- and Landclub Achensee in Pertisau is the oldest Golf club in Tyrol and was founded in 1934. This jewel of a golf course lies between the foot of the Karwendels and the Achensee at 950 m above sea level. The courses silde gently over the full green meadows, down past old trees of larches and beeches.

The Alpengolf Club is located in Achenkirch. Its beautiful 9-hole location lies on a high plateau, directly above the Annakirchl and boarders directly on the Karwendel Nature Reserve. The courses contain diverse tee-off areas and various formations, making it suitable for players of differtent levels to polish up and practice their skills.
