Step 1: Cardio Scan - Get to know your cardiac data!

We will measure your personal Fit-Level. Your Fit-Level depends on weight, BMI, age, sex, frequency of training and the so-called Cardio Stress Index (CSI). The CSI is calculated from heart rate variability and vital rates.

How is the heart rate variability measured?

Measuring electrodes are attached to the left and right forearm and to the left and right lower leg. This is a similar procedure to a regular ECD, it applies no pressure and is totally painless. The procedure takes 2 minutes and you can watch your heart rate on the monitor.

Step 2: Learn more about your metabolism!

SpirometrieWe will measure the basal metabolic rate. The basal metabolic rate is the amount of energy (per day) that the body requires to keep up its functionality while resting. For example when a person has a low basal metabolic rate and does not exercise much, this can lead to excess weight and to cardiovascular diseases.

How is the basal metabolic rate measured?

During a resting spirometry, i.e. on a comfortable deck chair with view to Lake Achensee, you will breathe into a mask wiht a disposable mouthpiece for 15 minutes. The basal metabolic rate is calculated from the difference between inhaled and exhaled air as well as the respiratory frequency.
